Introduction
G. Salamone Hotels Srl is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Legislative Decree 76/2020, converted with amendments by Law No. 120 of September 11, 2020, and European Standard EN 301 549.
This accessibility statement applies to the website: www.lakecomoaparthotel.com
Compliance status:
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of Appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549:2021 (WCAG 2.1) standard due to the cases of non-compliance listed below.
Inaccessible content:
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons of non-compliance with Law No. 4 of January 9, 2004. The analysis was conducted through self-assessment, based on Lighthouse reports dated June 16, 2025 (version 12.6.0), and manual testing.
a) Non-compliance with Law No. 4 of January 9, 2004
The main areas of non-compliance found are listed below, which we are committed to resolving. The analysis was conducted through self-assessment and the use of automated tools and manual testing.
Principle 1: Perceivable
Color contrast: Some text and graphic components, particularly in secondary sections or promotional elements, may not comply with the minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 required by WCAG 1.4.3. We are currently reviewing the site's color palette.
Alternative text: Some older images or images dynamically loaded in the blog or news sections may lack adequate text alternatives (WCAG 1.1.1). A review of the content is underway to remedy these shortcomings.
Alternative text: Some older images or images dynamically loaded in the blog or news sections may lack adequate text alternatives (WCAG 1.1.1). Content is currently being reviewed to remedy these shortcomings.
Semantic structure: On some complex pages, the heading hierarchy (<h1>-<h6>) may not always be sequential and logical, making navigation via screen readers less efficient (WCAG 1.3.1). We are working to correct the structure of the page templates.
Principle 2: Operable
Keyboard focus: Although keyboard navigation is guaranteed for most of the site, the focus indicator may not always be sufficiently visible on some interactive elements, particularly buttons with custom styles (WCAG 2.4.7).
Non-contextual links: In some sections, there may be links with generic text such as “Learn more” that do not uniquely describe the destination out of context (WCAG 2.4.4). We are planning a review of the texts to make the links more descriptive.
Principle 3: Understandable
Error handling in forms: Error messages in the contact form and other interactive forms, while present, may not be programmatically associated with the respective input fields in an optimal way, making it more difficult for users of assistive technologies to correct them (WCAG 3.3.1).
Principle 4: Robust
Code validation: The use of third-party components and scripts may cause minor code validation (parsing) errors according to W3C standards, which, however, do not compromise the overall functionality of the site (WCAG 4.1.1).
b) Disproportionate burden
At present, no exemptions for disproportionate burden are invoked. G. Salamone Hotels Srl is committed to taking all reasonable steps to achieve full compliance.
c) Content not covered by applicable legislation
Third-party content not under the control of G. Salamone Hotels Srl, such as any Google Maps or embedded social feeds, may not be fully accessible.
Drafting of the accessibility statement:
This statement was drafted on June 16, 2025.
The self-assessment was carried out on June 13, 2025 by our internal technical team. The statement will be reviewed and updated annually and whenever substantial changes are made to the website.
